For owners whose business is already busy.
You’ve got money in the account and no real idea which part of the business put it there.
So the decisions get made on a feeling. Whether to take the client who wants a discount. Whether you can afford the person you’ve been meaning to hire since March. Whether the thing you’re busiest with is the thing paying for everything. You make the call, it works out or it doesn’t, and either way you never find out which.
Your accountant won’t help with this. They tell you what happened last year, in a shape built for the tax office, and by the time it gets to you the decision’s already been made.
Bottom Line at a glance
What you leave with.
You stop guessing. Every money decision after this has a number under it, including the one you’re probably stuck on right now, which is whether you can afford to hire somebody.
One page with your real money on it
It takes twenty minutes a month to keep current.
A true cost for each thing you sell
Your own hours, your team, the redos, and the clients who take twice as long.
A new price that’s already set
Set on the real number, for the next person who asks.
A target for next year
With the number of clients it takes to get there, and a straight answer on hiring.
What you build, week by week.
Six Mondays from May 17. Your pod meets later the same week.
- 1Monday, May 17Your money on one page.
Everything in, everything out, and what’s actually left. Then you work out what you earn for an hour of your own time. Most people find that number sitting below what they’d pay somebody to do the job they’ve been putting off hiring for.
- 2Monday, May 24What it really costs you to deliver.
Once you’ve counted your own hours, your team, the redos, and the clients who take twice as long. Not what you paid for materials.
- 3Monday, May 31Which of the things you sell actually makes money.
Run the week two number across everything on your list. If you sell more than one thing, one of them is probably losing money, and it’s usually the one you like selling most.
- 4Monday, June 7Your new price.
Set on the real number, and it applies to the next person who asks rather than to everybody you’ve already got. You’ll also work out how to move an existing client up at renewal without losing them.
- 5Monday, June 14What’s coming and when.
Money in the account is not the same as money you can spend, and the gap between those two is what kills businesses that are technically profitable. You build the view that tells you what’s landing in the next ninety days.
- 6Monday, June 21Next year, and whether you can hire.
What you want the business to make, how many clients at the new price that takes, and one page you check monthly to see whether it’s happening. The hiring answer falls out of the first three weeks.
Before day one.
This is the only one of the four where you have to bring something.
- Three months of money coming in
- Three months going out
- Roughly how many hours a week you work
Bank statements and invoices are fine and nobody needs accounting software.
If it’s a mess, bring the mess. Everybody’s is, and we sort it out on the call.
If you don’t get to it in time, come anyway. You’ll build the first page from estimates on the Monday and send your real numbers in as the week one submission on Tuesday night.
How it runs.
Monday, ninety minutes
The whole room. I teach for twenty minutes and you build for seventy, using your own numbers rather than an example.
Work goes in by Tuesday night, and if you send nothing you don’t get reviewed that week.
Your pod, sixty minutes
You’re in a pod of ten and you stay with those ten the whole way through. Your pod gets its own hour, and we go through what you built as a group. Ten people in an hour is real time rather than a turn.
You pick your pod hour when you pay, so you don’t end up in a slot that doesn’t work.
Pod hours, each on its own city’s clock
The seats.
Fifty standard seats across five pod hours. Five Front Row seats. Hours open as they fill.
Bottom LineFifty seats
Standard
$600 or two payments of $300
Everything above.
- Six Monday calls, ninety minutes each
- Your pod of ten, sixty minutes a week
- The material, the recordings, and your page
Half now and half two weeks later, if you want. Until May 3.
Bottom LineFive seats
Front Row
$1,600 or two payments of $800
Everything above, plus two things.
- Every week I read what you sent in myself and write back to you, on top of your pod.
- A Walk-Through after the last session, where I go through your whole business and find what’s actually holding it up.
The Walk-Through happens after rather than before, so there’s a real system on the table when I’m looking at it. Front Row Walk-Throughs run the week after the last session. A Walk-Through is credited toward the Full Picture if you ever go that way.
Hold me a Front Row seatHalf now and half two weeks later, if you want. Until May 3.
Full refund up to the second Monday. If you get to the second Monday and it isn’t what you wanted, tell me and I’ll refund you in full. You don’t have to give me a reason.
Before you pick your hour.
How much time does it take each week?
Two calls. Monday is ninety minutes with the whole room, and your pod is sixty minutes with the same ten people. You build on the calls, so there’s nothing to take away and finish later. Work goes in by Tuesday night.
What if I miss a call?
Every call is recorded, and the recordings sit on your page with the material, so you can catch up the same week.
Can I pay in two parts?
Yes. Either seat can be paid half now and half two weeks later, until May 3.
What if it isn’t for me?
If you get to the second Monday and it isn’t what you wanted, tell me and I’ll refund you in full. You don’t have to give me a reason.
Which pod hour should I pick?
The one that works every week, not just the first one. There are five, each on its own city’s clock: London, New York, Los Angeles, Dubai and Chicago. You keep it for all six weeks.
What happens after I pay?
You land on a welcome page with every call for your calendar, the one thing to do before we start, and the link to your pod’s group.
Who this is not for.
This is for a business that’s already taking money.
- You haven’t sold anything yet. Then there’s nothing to count.
- You want bookkeeping, or your taxes done. It isn’t bookkeeping, and it won’t do your taxes.
Pick the hour that works every week.
